The Standard of Sands
Tomb Kings - Khemri - Freehand - BSB - Warhammer - 6th edition

In the ancient times, which are long forgotten in the history of the Old World, a beautiful and flourishing land existed. The human civilization, which wasn’t afraid of scorching Sun and cold nights, had been prosperous for many decades. Unfortunately, nothing last forever. The legacy of this beautiful, yet dangerous land, is now a destiny for treasure hunters. Rumours of unparalleled riches are luring everyone, who thinks that dead has no rights to walk in this world again. They don’t know how wrong they are... Undead are ready to defend their secrets and treasures buried in the tombs of Nehekhara’ sands.

Those who survived have gone mad or lose their sanity, blabbing about mummies and hordes of skeletons that were marching just as they were alive. Some stories mention about mighty creatures and constructs which swing their gigantic ritual blades with ease, cutting warriors and adventurer’ bodies in half. Not to mention, scarabs and deadly scorpions, which emerge from sands and throw themselves at surprised opponents. Among all these unbelievable histories, there is a special tale which says about the magical banner. The energy flowing from this ancient artefact is able to manipulate sands and creates sand storms, which well hide the undead legions from the sight of the any living man.

Some unbelievers can say that all of these stories are only gibberish and fairy tales which were created to scare disobedient children. Well, we will never know unless we see it on our own eyes. Are you brave enough to visit the Land of the Dead?

The banner of sands was created for our friend. He really likes skeletons from Tomb Kings’ army and always wanted to have a banner with the artwork from the 6th edition rulebook. The whole construction was my personal idea. You can see small scorpions that I have sculpted from GreenStuff. Additionally, the banner is magnetic so it can be replaced by something else or simply ease packing and transportation. I hope you like it! See, more photos in the gallery and stay tuned because soon there will be something else from the Land of the Dead on our page.
